Evelien is mommy of Piet (2010), Tycho (2012) and pregnant with her third child (a girl!) and lives with pleasure with husband and kids in Amsterdam. She loves to discover places where the kids can freely move and play and where it looks and feels good for the parent(s) as well, because that can be a challenge sometimes. Luckily there are increasingly more places where this combination is a match. In the coming blogs she will share her findings with you guys.
Another kids concept store you might think? But there’re not enough concept stores if you ask me… De Kleine Parade is the newest store in the ‘Pijp’, besides Blender and Minimarkt.
At the Gerard Doustraat, where many cute boutiques with original stuff are located. De Kleine Parade is housed in a store where the light breaks beautifully into the room from different angles and dome lights. On the left side the store, in the middle the bar and at the right side the café and atelier (which can be hired for parties).
Along with Tycho, I step into the store and the nicest clothes catch my eye, yes I admit, especially a few cheerful dresses for the little girl in my belly, I really have to control myself. But I also see nice things for the guys, next time I’ll get back on my own, so I can go shopping quietly ;-)
The shop is really cool in design and color, the separation between the shop and the workshop with the glass wall is beautifu. And cheerful flowers on the tables make me feel at home. The owner Merel chats cheerfully and the atmosphere here is great!
Tycho found all kinds of toys to play with, which gives me the opportunity to quietly look around and enjoy my coffee, Power Ball & Milk Magazine (always nice). I’ll definitely be back soon!
