HOTSPOT AMSTERDAM: ARCHIVE STORE
Oh my, this concept store is seriously something. Opened a little less then 6 months ago in Amsterdam. A concept store that feels like you’re abroad as soon as you set foot in the store. Reason for that could be because quite some products are sourced in Parisian stores for example. Besides international brands they also sell Dutch brands, to name a few brands in their collection; Sam & Haas, Linge Particulier, Tamar Mogendorff, Zoe Rumeau, Paris au Mois d’Aout, Repose, Steiff, Moleskine, Ortigia Sicilia, Lola & Kate, Kinfolk and Monocle.
But as I said before, besides the fine brands the whole store looks insanely beautiful. Think brick walls, cute styled little corners, everything, but really everything I would like to have. This is a store for gatherers, like they call themselves as well, for young and old. Nice baskets, bracelets, soap. But also unique items like antique beds, cupboards. Beautiful lamps for nurseries, awesome Moroccan carpets, soft bedding etc.
Martine and Anna, the two ladies behind the store are good gatherers obviously and have a right feeling for fashion and lifestyle. Both of them have had a career in fashion and retail. And before they opened the store and webshop (for those who don’t live near), they already had an interior- accessories brand called Lola&Kate.
Archive Store is located in the centre of Amsterdam, Eerste Looiersdwarsstraat 11. So, when you are in the neighbourhood, or just make sure you will, go and have a look. Let the store inspire you and I am also pretty sure you won’t walk out empty handed. Oh, before I forget, their neighbours are also worth paying a visit; the flagship store of Grey Label.
