Let me introduce myself: my name is Anaïs (30), Lou’s mom (21 months old) and I work at the sales department of fashion company Hop Agenturen. I have been living in beautiful Brabant for five years now, with Han. But as a true Antwerp girl, my heart still skips a beat for this beautiful city along the Schelde. That’s why you can find me there almost every week, cause it feels like coming home every time!
Last Sunday was a good moment to go to one of our favourite places of the city: the Kloosterstraat. It’s the antique-street of Antwerp and the ideal place to wander around on sunny Sundays.
Not to miss at the beginning of the afternoon is: YOUR. YOUR is a fantastic conceptstore where you can find anything. Whether it’s the latest and most trendy fashion articles or the hottest cosmetics brands: YOUR is the place!

As an Antwerp girl I’m still a Burgundian and that’s why I’m proud that Lou can really enjoy all kinds of delicacies that are put on the table. Chez Fred is an tiny French bistro where you get a warm welcome every time and that always has a relaxed vibe. Whether you choose their salad nicoise, sashimi or stew: you always leave satisfied. It doesn’t take long for Lou to fall happily asleep with a full belly in the buggy, which allows us to calmly wander on.
We discover a new hotspot in the Kloosterstraat: The Recollection! What a fantastic mix of art, design, fashion, but very original corners as well, that separate the store from all the existing ones: a special place for flowers, beautiful books and even a corner for new upcoming talent. Wow! A true gain for Antwerp if you ask me. You can find the following brands there: Maison Martin Margiela, Piet Hein Eek, Aesop cosmetica, Studio Simple, Petite Friture…

Furthermore, we are enjoying the lovely winter sun and take in the atmosphere of the relaxed Sunday vibe. Always worth to pay a visit: Hot & Cold, Mia & Moi, Viar, Loft Styles & Cult.
Tradition for us is to end the day at MoMadeCupcakes at the Reynderstraat 37. I have to admit we all had our doubts when Mo told us he was selling his famous sandwichplace to start a cupcake store. But how glad am I with this great decision! As soon as you step in at Mo’s, you are overwhelmed by a delicious smell and fantastic looking cupcakes, out of which you can never choose. No frozen products, no artificial colours, but everything made fresh daily and with loads of flavour. Recommendations: Nuts For U, Chai Latte, Cappuccino & Ginger Vanilla and for Lou a mini cupcake Speculoos. Enjoy!
