Dreams, don’t we want to catch them once in a while?
Not only bad and scary dreams, also the lovely and sweet ones. To relive them and see them. But actually physically catching them is simply not possible, but there are sayings that dream catchers do help getting a good night of sleep, without scary dreams that wake you up. Well, doesn’t every parent want his of her child to have a good and quite night? Therefore we see dream catchers often in nurseries.
And we found really, really nice ones by Minalulu, handmade in Germany by Vanessa. Mom of two beautiful girls (5 and 1 years old), who after the birth of her second baby and too many sleepless nights started to take interest in dream catchers. And she started to produce and sell them herself. She started with the child’s favorite animal, that animal would take away the scary dreams. She made tigers, unicorns, Miffy’s and horses.
Later she started to produce dream catchers with pompons and aren’t they the nicest? They look really nice in any nursery, or actually in any room in the house to be honest.
Her latest piece is based on Pippi Long stock’s horse, white with black dots; this one would really fit the monochrome interior trend that goes on right now.
Vanessa makes the dream catchers besides her job as an art historian in Dusseldorf and lives in Cologne. Art and fashion are huge inspirations for her when she produces new work. Go check them out!
