Hi, I’m Lonneke and I live in Eindhoven with husband and 2 kids. I’m self-employed and I blog on Bubblemint.nl too. I love design, citytrips (Stockholm, NY, Berlin, London… but cities in Holland as well!) and I love to go out with the kids! In Eindhoven a lot has changed the last few years and that’s a very good thing! There is a lot of creativity and especially the trending area Strijp-S (old Philipsterrain) is a good example of that.
The nice new concepts keep coming at Strijp-S in Eindhoven. Every time you visit this place, there’s something new to discover.
Restaurant Wynwood and take-out Fish and Chips
Wynwood opened its doors recently. A nice concept where you can eat food on a top level for a nice price. Directly next to this restaurant, they also opened a cool take-out: Fish and Chips. Simple and different than normal. We’ve tested this spot on a relaxed summer evening and we directly got the holiday feeling. The fresh fries with fried kibbeling, shrimp or mussels tasted like if you were at a place nearby the sea. We feasted. I hear you think, that aren’t much vegetables. But fortunately our Max really loves pickles and the first thing he ate were the cup with pickles before he started with the rest of the dish.
Casual atmosphere at Strijp-S
I like the casual atmosphere at Strijp-S, it’s easily accessible and there’s something for everyone. The kids raced on their balance bikes over the industrial area, where are lots of things to see. We loved it this time at Fish and Chips. And after, we went to get an icecream at Intelligentia. But who knows, the next time when we go out without kids, we might go for a more refined meal at the neighbours; Wynwood. It’s sure that you’ll always be surprised with nice new places to explore!
Fish and Chips is situated at Torenallee 40-08 Strijp-S Eindhoven. Open from Tuesday till Saturday 12.00 till 21.00.
