A new hotspot in Rotterdam since two months: Baker & Moore at the Westblaak 147. Time to visit this breakfast and lunch bar in the middle of the city with the boys. It was a sunny day, so we didn’t sit inside but outside! On this part of the Westblaak the sidewalk is big so the kids can play and run all they want. Not a problem if it rains; inside (upstairs) there’s a corner especially for the kids. Ideal. And for boys a ‘racetrack’ always works!
Assemble your own sandwich
The concept of Baker & Moore is easy; CIY, create it yourself. You order your sandwich at the counter and you can assemble it as you like. The breakfast is supposed to be a buffet, but I haven’t been able to test that yet. The price-quality is great. Simple, but good food. Good products and no complicated menu. And you can order ‘regular’ coke (which makes Sander happy). In Rotterdam it seems you can’t order regular Coca-Cola anywhere anymore, it’s just Fitz-cola or other ‘healthy’ or biological cokes. Here there’s no healthy quinoa or other super foods on the menu, but simple sandwiches with good products and delicious juices.
Ook een fijne werkplek
Baker & Moore is open 7 days a week and from 7.30 a.m. breakfast is served. On the top floor they created workspace, with extra wall plugs and ofcourse there’s free wifi. A perfect spot to work on location for a day.
We’ll be back for sure! Baker & Moore is on the Westblaak 147 in Rotterdam. More info on their website.
