I know by now that good quality basics are a must-have for kids, just like for myself. Fabrics that are soft on the skin or just have that perfect stretch in them.
Minimalisma is one of those brands that fulfil these needs. Scandinavian design, no hysterical prints, maar minimalistic, just like the name explains. Their ‘organic essentials’ line uses only certified 100% organic cotton and consists of pj’s, leggings and camisoles. All in 4 natural basic shades. Two beautiful jersey qualities make it possible to choose between a fitted look in single jersey or a more flexible fit in the slightly heavier rib jersey.
Scandinavian fashion insider, Maja Akraberg is the brain behind the brand. Her long-time fashion background combined with a passion for quality children’s wear and fair production led to the establishment of Minimalisma in 2011. She designs for kids up to 6 years old. The base will never change; the fabrics need to be nice, of good quality, organic and sustainable. This suits me as a mom really well. If one child grows out of it I like to pass it on to the next one, but only if the fitting is still ok and the fabrics still feel nice, it shouldn’t look like a worn-out piece. The items of Minimalisma stay true to what they predict; silk, cotton, wool, alpaca and cashmere make sure the garments can be enjoyed a little longer than average baby clothes.
In Holland SuzieQ represents the brand. But the biggest selection outside the Netherlands is probably with www.gladerollinger.dk or www.luksusbaby.dk
