Let me introduce myself: my name is Anaïs (30), Lou’s mom (2012) and I work at the sales department of fashion company Hop Agenturen. I have been living in beautiful Brabant for five years now, with Han. But as a true Antwerp girl, my heart still skips a beat for this beautiful city along the Schelde. That’s why you can find me there almost every week, cause it feels like coming home every time!
Today, part 2 of the coolest pop-up beaches and hotspots in Antwerp this summer…
St. Tropez at the Schelde: Bocadero
Bocadero a beach concept (on the right bank) and described as the St. Tropez of the Schelde.
It’s simply delicious linger with kids at daytime! You can have a nice lunch and in the evening you can enjoy the sunset on the covered terrace. In the evening, Bocadero is transformed into a restaurant ‘on the beach’ where DJ’s play their beats.
Highly recommended by me! Bocadero open until September 8 2014.

New: Beach restaurant Glow by Wout Bru
This is the new concept of Wout Bru (on the left bank), known for his outstanding grills. Wout Bru is a well-known TV chef in Belgium and part of the Masterchef jury. At Glow, you can find a beach bar. You can enjoy cocktails or try the Street Food, accompanied by great DJ beats.
To make the experience complete, you can stay in a luxurious design container. Everything is finished with spicy accents of fluorescent and neon lights, a real highlight for the city! The name is perhaps inspired from the beautiful light festival Glow in Eindhoven, but then with an Antwerp touch. Very beautiful!
