This past July during KID in Paris and MARKET by Kleine Fabriek in Amsterdam a new fair and eco label presented her first SS17 collection.
Ukkoni  is inspired by looking at the world through the eyes of children. The first collections main features are timeless, comfortable designs and stylish prints. Everything is produced in Nepal with 100% GOTS certified organic cotton, finished with wooden buttons. For future collections plans are to use more recycled and natural materials. This collection really is great and designed for kids to play endlessly and comfortable.

Social impact

There also is a great and beautiful story behind this new brand. The name comes from the Swahili word Ukomo, which means unlimited and the way children are able to think without any boundaries.
The founder of Ukkoni Lidewij Helmich has a lot of experience in development sector, and has worked in Africa and India. This was even more prove for her to contribute in her work to social impact.

She aims to donate 25% of her profits to the Ukkoni Foundation to help boys and girls in Asia and Africa with better futures. We think this is so great. Keep an eye on this brand; it’s beautiful in every sense.
