Evelien is mommy of Piet (2010), Tycho (2012) and new born baby Mickey Charlotte (2015) and lives with pleasure with husband and kids in Amsterdam. She loves to discover places where the kids can freely move and play and where it looks and feels good for the parent(s) as well, because that can be a challenge sometimes. Luckily there are increasingly more places where this combination is a match. In the coming blogs she will share her findings with you guys.
Late Summer, I love it, even though it’s not always predictable in the Netherlands. So the more we appreciate the beautiful days. And a few warm rays of sunlight per day are often a reason for ice cream, right?
When we’re on a holiday, we usually eat at least 1 ice cream a day, but to do that at home as well..
Fortunately, there are all kinds of ice cream to choose from. Yoghurt ice creams are very in attendance, and also have less fat. And you can even ensure that there’s still some good nutrients it as you top them with some seeds and fresh fruit. In de Pijp district is the Yoghurt Barn situated, a super nice shop with a wide range of all kinds of yoghurt. Think about soya-, goat-, farmers -, low-fat- and so FROZEN YOGHURT.
Toppings of fruit, nuts and seeds aren’t that bad
We’ve already been there a couple of times to get ice cream. It’s so good. I’ll get some toppings such as fruit, seeds and nuts so every time I’ve the feeling that it’s not that bad. You can sit outside or around the corner is the children’s playground at the Sarphatipark and eat your ice cream. If the weather is bad, you can sit inside, the interior is fresh and cozy. There even is a basket with books and toys. Let the summer last for a while, so we’ve an excuse to enjoy a refreshing (healthy) ice cream!
The Yoghurt Barn de Pijp is situated at Eerste van der Helstraat 80 in Amsterdam.
